WH (Heer) Gascape Pouch (Gasplane Tasche). The shoulder sling of the gas mask was put through two loops at the rear of the pouch, and the pouch was worn on the chest. This method proved not to be very practical. During the war a frequent way of wear was to fasten the pouch around the gas mask canister. The green canvas pouch is nicely maker marked inside with a three digit makerscode 'ffo' indicating production by the company 'Tannwalder Textilwerke AG' from Tannwald-Schumburg (Tanvald-Sumburk) in the period between 1943/1945. Very nice original late war example in mint and unissued condition!
