WH (Heer) M35 DD Combat Helmet
Wehrmacht (Heer) Double Decal M35 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The stamped sheet steel construction M35 helmet retains most of its original olive coloured overpaint, the thick paint is showing nice brush strokes, the paint is showing scratches and normal traces of usage and some minor surface rust. The overpaint has been carefully painted around the decals. Both decals are in very good condition with some minor damage and scratches caused by usage, both decals are retained for about 95%. The Heer decal is a nice 'ET' factory decal typical for this manufacturer. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact. The early liner is having a single aluminum liner ring. The original liner cord is present. The shell is marked with maker and size 'SE64' which indicates production by the 'Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G.' from Lauter. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '3261'. There is a nice dome-stamp inside the shell. There is a unit marking painted inside the helmet for the '6./A.R.27' (6. Batterie Artillerie-Regiment 27) which was part of the 27th Infantry Division who took part in the campaigns in Poland and France. The helmet is complete with its original early leather chinstrap with aluminum roller-buckle and studs. The chinstrap is nicely maker marked and dated 1936. Nice and honest original early WH (Heer) M35 DD Helmet in very good condition!
