Wehrmacht (Heer) 'Südfront' Gascape Pouch (Gasplane Tasche). The shoulder sling of the gas mask was put through two loops at the rear of the pouch, and the pouch was worn on the chest. This method proved not to be very practical. During the war a frequent way of wear was to fasten the pouch around the gas mask canister. The tan/olive coloured canvas pouch is not visible maker marked or dated. There is one minor damage. Nice original pouch in good used condition!
