This is a nice Wehrmacht M31 Canteen and Cup (Feldflasche 31 und Trinkbecher). The standard issue M31 canteen was introduced on 23 March 1931. The canteen and leather straps are all in very good condition with minor age and usage toning. The felt cover is in very good condition. Both the felt cover and the leather straps are nicely maker marked and dated with 'AEM.A.43' indicating production in 1943. The steel flask has been enamelled in dark grey/black from both inside and outside. The outside has been oversprayed with green paint. The flask is not visible maker marked or dated but can be attributed to the manufacturer 'AEM.A.' as well. The canteen is complete with it's original matching blue/grey enamelled and green overpainted cup, the cup is nicely maker marked and dated 'AEM.A.42'. Nice original canteen in very good condition!
