Early Luftwaffe Double Decal M35 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The stamped sheet steel construction M35 helmet retains most of its early Luftwaffe-gray paint, the paint is showing scratches and normal traces of usage and some light surface rust. Both decals are in good condition with some normal damage and scratches caused by usage, the early first pattern drooptail Luftwaffe eagle is present for about 80%, the national shield for about 70%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is an early M31 leather liner with single aluminum liner-ring, the liner ring is nicely maker marked by the 'Schuberth Werk K.G.' from Braunschweig and dated 1937. The leather liner is complete with all eight fingers and its original liner cord. The shell is marked with maker and size 'Q64' which indicates production by the 'F.W. Quist, G.m.b.H.' from Esslingen. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '312'. The helmet is complete with its original 1940 dated leather chinstrap as found, the chinstrap is having an aluminum roller-buckle and studs. Nice original early M35 DD Luftwaffe helmet in good used condition!
