Description

Female Signal Auxiliaries grouping (Nachrichtenhelferin des Heeres). The Female Signals Auxiliary Corps (Nachrichtenhelferinnen des Heeres) were organized in a military system and were tasked with all aspects of communications within the occupied countries and in certain military communications centers within Germany that required special security that was unsuitable for civilian personnel. Personnel serving with the Female Signals Auxiliary Corps were outfitted with uniforms and insignia, including the cufftitle marked with 'NH des Heeres' (Nachrichtenhelferin des Heeres), the cuffitle was to be worn on the lower left sleeve of the uniform. The cufftitle is woven in the so-called BeVo weave pattern in golden/yellow rayon showing the machine woven, Gothic, script: 'NH des Heeres'. The cufftile is nicley maker marked with 'Bevo-Wuppertal' at one end, the cufftitle is in full-length condition and measures approximately 36cms in length. The female signal auxiliaries overseas cap is in good used condition. The cap-eagle is neatly handstitched (original applied) to the cap, this is a WH Panzer type EM's BeVo woven cap-eagle as was worn on these caps. The cap is having black lining material and is complete with it's original leather sweat-band. The cap shows normal traces of usage and wear and some small moth-damages, see photos. Included in the group is an original BeVo-woven WH (Heer) Panzer breast-eagle in tunic removed condition as was worn by the female signal auxiliaries and various original rank-insignia and arm-patches showing a yellow lightning blitz. This grouping has recently been found in a house-cleaning in Germany. Scarce original grouping!
