Luftwaffe Single Decal M42 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42). The steel construction M42 helmet retains most of its rough textured, blue-gray paint and about 80% of the decal, the decal shows some discolouration due to tape residue, the decal was pasted over post-war by the original owner. The paint shows normal wear and scratches caused by usage. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact, the liner is size '57' marked. The shell is marked with maker and size 'EF64' which indicates production by the company 'Emaillerwerke AG' in Fulda. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '1933'. The helmet is complete with its original  chinstrap, the chinstrap is nicely 'RB.Nr.0/0390/0204' marked. Inside the dome is a nice carton label with the name of the original owner 'Anton Lohmann' who was a 'Flakhelfer' (Flak Helper) within the 'Schw.Flak Abt. 322 Mainz'. Interesting original Luftwaffe helmet in good used condition!
