Reserve Police Officer's Shako
Reserve Police Officer's Shako (Tschako für Offiziere der Polizei-Reserve). High quality, privately purchased 1936 pattern Polizei (Police) Officer's Shako in black as worn by reserve police troops. Looking closely at the seams it looks like it originally was made with field grey wool but the wool has been carefully removed to create a black shako. The shako is having a nice officer's type cloth lining with leather sweatband and is nicely maker marked by the famous 'Erel' company of 'Robert Lubstein' from Berlin. The shako is size '59½' marked. An aluminum shako eagle is placed on front above an officer's type chinstrap. The shako is complete with a 'D.R.G.M.' marked aluminum national cocarde. The shako is showing some minimal traces of usage and years of storage and is in overall very good condition. Nice original Police Officer's Shako for a fair price!
