Wehrmacht reissued Dutch Helmet
Wehrmacht reissued Dutch Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm Holländisch). These helmets have been produced by the Dutch 'Verblifa' company from 1943 on, these were issued to Romanion troops and late in the war to Wehrmacht troops and 'Schutzmannschaften'. The stamped sheet steel construction helmet retains most of its rough textured, field-grey overpaint, you can clearly see the original Dutch green paint beneath the overpaint. All liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has a standard Wehrmacht M31 leather liner, size '57' marked, the liner-ring is RB.Nr. marked and dated 1943. The leather is a bit dry and stained, the liner cord is missing. The helmet comes with a period looking brown leather chinstrap as found. There are some normal damages and scratches caused by usage. Only a few of these helmets are known. Rare original helmet in good condition!
