WH (Heer) 'Infanterie' Officer's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is a nice privately purchased Officer's example. Complete with celluloid manufacturers sweat-diamond ('Raute') marked with 'Extra Klasse', the sweat diamond is slightly damaged. The cap is approximately a size '56'. The Visor cap is piped in the white 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Infantry personnel. The leather sweatband is in good condition, a period newspaper is originally folded beneath the sweatband. The cap is complete with it's original hand-applied hand-embroidered cocarde and zinc-type cap-eagle. The cap has a great shape (Sattelform). The cap is showing only mior traces of usage and is in overall very good stunning condition. This is one the nicest Infantry Officer's Visor Cap I've ever had on offer. Great original visor cap!
