WH (Heer) Infantry Officier's Visor Cap
WH (Heer) Infantry Officer's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is a nice early cap which in my opinion is an EM/NCO's example period upgraded to an officer's rank. The celluloid manufacturers sweat-diamond ('Raute') is unfortunately missing. The brown leather sweatband is in good used (slighlty damaged) condition, see photos. The cap is maker marked on the inside of the leather sweatband and dated 1934. The Visor cap is piped in the white 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Infantry personnel. The cap is complete with its original early aluminum cap-eagle and cocarde. The cap is having an officer's type chinstrap. The cap is in good condition showing some minor traces of usage and small damages, see photos. Nice original early visor cap in good used condition!
