WH (Heer) M35 Camouflaged Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The steel construction M35 helmet retains most of its rough textured, four-tone green and brown coloured (field-applied) camouflage overpaint. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is an M31 leather liner with steel liner-ring, all eight fingers are present, the liner is size '57' marked, a name is written on the leather. The drawstring is a period replacement. Due to the thick camouflage overpaint the maker and serial number are unreadable. The helmet is showing clear traces of wear and usage, there is one small crack in the shell. This helmet is a true woodwork find in uncleaned untouched original condition as found.
