Dutch 'Kepie' (Buitenmodel). This kepi was part of the 'buitenmodel' tunic, these tunics were privately purchased tunics in field blue-grey woolen cloth. Soldiers who were not able to buy a complete tunic often bought only the kepi. This is a soldiers rank kepi, recognizable by the double blue coloured piping. The blue coloured piping is indicating that this kepi belonged to a soldier within an Infantry Regiment. The leather sweatband is in very good condition. The kepi is nicely maker marked by the company 'Lippits' from Haarlem. There is one tiny moth damage, see photos. Nice original kepi in very good condition!
