Early Hitler-Jugend Knife (HJ Fahrtenmesser) with motto. The blade is maker marked by the company of 'Carl Eickhorn' from Solingen. One rivet of the leather belt loop has been repaired. Overall a very nice original early HJ dagger in good used condition!

Description

Early Hitler-Jugend Knife (HJ Fahrtenmesser). The 'HJ Fahrtenmesser' (Hike/Camp knife) was introduced in early 1933. The knife has black molded diamond grooved bakelite grips, the obverse grip has an imbedded enameled HJ diamond. The knife comes with its original magnetic sheet metal scabbard, the scabberd still retains most of its original black paint and shows normal traces of usage. The motto 'Blut und Ehre' (Blood & Honour) is engraved on the blade, the blade is in good condition with some staining and traces of usage, see photos. The blade is maker marked by the company of 'Carl Eickhorn' from Solingen. The blade has been slightly sharpened. The leather buffer pad between the dagger and scabberd is present. One of the rivets to attach the leather belt-loop on the back to the scabberd has been replaced, see photos. Overall a very nice original early HJ dagger in good used condition!
