This is a nice original Wehrmacht Wooden Box for 'Kampfstoffproben' (chemical warfare test equipment box). The box is nicely painted in fieldgrey, on top of the box is stencilled in white paint 'Kampfstoffproben'. The empty box is nicely maker marked and dated 'ehr 44' indicating production by the company of 'Ernst Wolf & Cie' from Oelsa and marked with 'WaA 706'. The box is sized approximately 24,5 x 16,5 x 12,5 cms. Decorative original box in good condition!
