Canadian Chaplain Service Battle Dress Jacket
Canadian Chaplain Service (CCS) Battle Dress Jacket. The Canadian made Battledress was made according to the British 1937 Pattern. The Battledress was the standard uniform for all Army Personnel, officers and other ranks in the theatres of operations. This Battledress is is nicely maker marked by 'Tip Top Tailors Ltd.' and dated October 1942, the jacket is also marked with a Canadian 'broad-arrow' marking. The battledress is size 19 marked. The jacket has been period tailored having an open style collar which was beloved by officers. The jacket is named and marked with several service numbers. Machine-sewn to the tunic is a pair of nicely British made canvas 'Canadian Chaplain Service' titles above 'Canadian military headquarters' insignia. Three purple coloured rank pips indicating a Captain's rank are nicely machine-sewn to each shoulder-board. All insignia are original period applied. Extremely rare original Chaplain's BD tunic!
