DRK Sleeve Eagle

This is a nice original German Red Cross (DRK) sleeve-eagle (Ärmeladler). In December 1937 the DRK (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz) gained status as a legally recognized organization by the NSDAP. As with other essential services in Third Reich Germany, it came under control of the NSDAP. This is a generic type sleeve-badge as worn by medical personnel. The armbadge is nicely BeVo-woven in silver-grey coloured thread and mounted on a dark-grey coloured woolen background. The badge is 'Ges.Gesch.' marked. Nice example in very good condition!
