Early SA Kepi - 'SA-Gruppe Nordmark'
Early SA Service Kepi (SA-Dienstmütze).The SA (Sturmabteilung) was originally formed in August 1921 as a protective guard unit for the political leaders of the NSDAP. This Kepi originally didn't have a colored panel which indicate that it's an example from the 'Kampfzeit'. After 1933 the color bands were introduced for all ranks, this Kepi is having a loose green color band attached, indicating the 'SA-Gruppe Nordmark' (or Sachsen). Both the gold button and eagle are originally attached and complete with their prongs. The metal ventilation grommets are visible underneath the green wool. There is some small moth damage tot the green wool color band, but otherwise the cap is in very fine condition showing normal period wear. There are some initials written on the visor 'K.M.'. Very rare and hard to find original early SA Kepi in perfect untouched condition!
