This is a nice original period framed Dutch 'Kriegsmarine' recruitment poster: "Het zeegat uit! - Neerlands roem herleeft! Meldt u by de Kriegsmarine!". The poster is depicting an image of a sailor in uniform superimposed with a battleship, the sailor is wearing the Dutch volunteer sleeve-shield. The poster is sized approximately 80 x 55 cms. It is marked with the Publication Number 5046 and the date it was intended to be hung, 15 May to 15 June (1944). The poster has been folded but is in overall very good condition, see photos. The poster has been professionally framed and comes out of an old museum collection where it has been in display for years.
