French M1866 Chassepot Sword Bayonet. This bayonet was designed to fit on the French M1866 Chassepot bolt-action military breechloading rifle (Fusil modèle 1866). The bayonet is nicely marked by the imperial armory of St. Etienne and dated 1867 on back edge (spine) of the blade. Complete with original scabberd. Nice original French M1866 bayonet in good used condition!
