Gebirgsjäger Wind Pants (Windhose)
Mountain Troopers (Gebirgsjäger) Winter Camouflage Wind Pants, reversible to white (Windhose der Gebirgstruppen). Due to their role in the potentially snowy mountainous regions Mountain troop personnel were issued a winter camouflage wind blouse as early as 1938. Two piece light weight camouflage uniforms were introduced for mountain troops around late 1941. This is a fieldgrey, reversible to white, cotton construction anorak. The white side is treated with some sort of water-repellent coating. The pants are designed to be worn over the standard uniform and therefore are a large size. The pants are nicely maker marked with R.B.No.'0/1001/0204' and dated 1944. The pants are in stunning mint and unissued condition. The pants are relatively hard to find compared to the anorak. Nice original pair!
