German 'Der Alemanne' Newspaper Enamel Sign
German 'Der Alemanne' Newspaper Enamel Sign (Emailleschild). This red rectangular vaulted wall plaque (Hoheitsschild) hung at shops where the newspaper 'Der Alemanne' was being sold and people could hand over their advertisments 'Annahmestelle für Bezug und Anzeigen' (Acceptance point for purchase and advertisements). The enamel is showing normal traces of usage and some small damages on the edges of the sign, see photos. The enamel sign is maker marked by the company 'Pyro-Emai' from 'Boos & Hahn' from Ortenberg (Baden). The sign is measuring approximately 59 x 39 cms. Hard to find original enamel sign in good used condition!
This enamel sign originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!
