German Empire/WW1 Patriotic Banner (Nationalfahne/Patriotische Fahne). The black-white-red tricolour was introduced in 1866 by the North German Confederation and remained the flag of Germany until the end of the German Empire in 1918, it was reintroduced as the national flag in March 1933 and was the national flag untill the death of Reichspresident 'Paul von Hindenburg' in September 1935. Printed construction cotton flag, the flag is having a tunnel-loop to place it on a cord or pole. The flag is sized approximately 228 x 75 cms. The flag is in used condition showing some staining and a small tear, see photos. Nice and decorative original patriotic German flag!
