This is a nice example of the War Merit Medal (Kriegsverdienstmedaille). The War Merit Medal was instituted on 19 August 1940 for award to German nationals and foreign civilians who provided exceptional service to the war effort. The medal is complete with its original 8cms long sized ribbon as found. Nice original medal in good used condition!
