This is a nice 'Kubanschild' Award-Document (Besitzzeugnis). The Kuban Campaign shield was awarded to personnel, in all branches of service, who had served in the defensive battles in the Crimean peninsula from February 1943 onwards. The shield was instituted by Adolf Hitler on 21 September 1943. This (A5 sized) document was awarded to Unteroffizier 'Johann Koch', Johann was a member within the 'Pionier Sturmboot-Kommando 903'. Johann was awarded with the Kuban Campaign Shield (Kubanschild) on 15 September 1944, this document shows the facsimile signature of Generalfeldmarschall 'v. Kleist'. The document has been perforated. Nice original award-document in very good condition!
