Luftwaffe M43 Trousers (Keilhose)
Luftwaffe M43 'Keilhose' - Combat Field Pants (Rundbundhosen 43). The 'Keilhose' combat field trousers were patterned after the Mountain troopers trousers and were introduced in 1943 to replace the previously used straight legged trousers. The trousers are made of Luftwaffe blue-grey wool, the bottom of the legs are fitted with cloth closure strings. Stitched along the upper edge of the waistband are loops for wearing a trouser-belt and buttons which can be used to secure braces. A strap and metal buckle is sewn on each hip for tightening. There are regrettably some small damages and repairs around the crotch of the pants and some damage around the front-closure of the pants, see photos. The trousers are nicely maker marked by the company of 'K.H.Leibfried' in Stuttgart. It is a perfect size for display on a mannequin. Hard to find original pair of late war Luftwaffe trousers in good used condition!
