'Org. Todt' non-reversible Winter Trousers
'Org. Todt' non-reversible olive-green winter trousers (Winterhose für Mannschaften). The winter parka's and trousers were standard issue items and were distributed to all EM/NCO’s for the winter season, (15 September to 15 April), with other winter garments and were to be returned to the units clothing depot in April for storage, repair and cleaning to be reissued the following September. The trousers are nicely maker marked by the 'Lago Hessen' and size '2' marked. The trousers are 'Org. Todt' marked. The OT (Organisation Todt) was established in June of 1938 when the Inspector General for Roads, 'Dr. Fritz Todt', was tasked with the construction of the 'West Wall'. The organization was responsible for a huge range of engineering projects, both pre-war and during the war in Germany and in the occupied territories. The pants are complete with all original buttons and original suspenders. The trousers were designed large enough to fit over the standard service uniform and will fit a mannequin easily. One leg is showing some staining. These would look great in a late war Army display as well. Nice original late war winter trousers in very good condition!
