Nice original 1935 pattern Russian, Red Army Senior Officer (General) hat badge, larger 36mm sized version. These cap-badges were worn on, for example, the winter hats. These hat badges were issued to RKKA officers with the rank equivalent of Major General or higher (brigade commander). These badges were used between 1935-1940, after 1940 a new round type of badge was introduced for General and Admiral ranks. Magnetic two-piece construction cap-badge having the hammer & sickle attached with two small wires. The cap-badge is complete with both prongs. Scarce original example in very good condition!
