'Sturmboot-Kommando 905' Document Grouping
WH (Heer) Award-Document Grouping from Unteroffizier 'Heinrich Stemmermann', he was a member within the 'Sturmboot-Kommando 905'. The grouping is consisting of his Wehrpaß, his Award-Documents (Urkunden), 'Pionier-Steuermannschein', DAF Membership booklet and his 'Arbeitsbuch'. Heinrich came into active military service on 7 April 1940. He served in several units, mainly within the 'Sturmboot-Kommando 905'. He was promoted three times and ended up being an 'Unteroffizier'. On 27 March 1940 he was awarded with the Westwall Medal, at that time he was a RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst) Member within the RAD-Abteilung 1/253 Preischeid/Eifel. He was was awarded with the Iron Cross 2nd Class on 26 September 1941, this document is personally signed by General der Pioniere 'Walter Kuntze' who was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuz). Heinrich was awarded with the General Assault Badge on 8 August 1942, this document is personally signed by General der Infanterie 'Franz Mattenklott' who was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and the German Cross in Gold. On 15 October 1942 Heinrich was awarded with the Krim Campaign Shield, this is a decorative rarely seen variant of the Krimschild award doument. His Soldbuch is in heavily used condition showing many entries. Please take a look at the photos for more details and information. The 'Sturmboot-Kommando 905' was mainly active on the Eastern Front in Russia. In 1942 this unit was was active in Sewastopol and in 1944 in was active in the 'Tscherkassy' Pocket.
