WH (Heer) Award Document Grouping - KIA
WH (Heer) Award Document Grouping from Obergefreiter 'Alfred Aselmeyer', he was a member within the '2./Gren.Rgt.482' (Grenadier-Regiment 482). The grouping is consisting of 3 Award-Documents (Urkunden), each at (DIN) A5 size. Alfred was awarded the Infantry Assault Badge on 18 October 1943, at that time he was a member within the 'Grenadier-Regiment 234'. He was awarded with the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords (Kriegsverdienst Kreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern) on 15 November 1943. Alfred was wounded on 1 September 1944 and was awarded the Wound Badge in Black on 11 September 1944, Alfred was killed in action on 26 October 1944 and is burried at a cemetry in 'Saltykowka' (Russia). All documents have been folded once but are in generally good condition, see photos. The group comes together with a letter from 1 November 1944 which was sent to his family including the award-documents, photographs and other personal items. Included with the grouping are various photographs and postcards. Interesting original award document grouping!
SHIPPING: the grouping is currently framed, the frame will be included at personal pick-up at a military show. In case of shipment I will remove all documents from the frame and ship the documents without frame!
