WH (Heer) cotton summer Field Blouse (Feldbluse). The field blouse is made of reed green cotton cloth, the tunic has four, pleated, pockets and field-grey finished, pebbled metal buttons. There is a six-button front closure using the same type of buttons. There is a lay flat collar with a metal hook and loop neck closure. The tunic has been period shortened, it still is a good size and perfect for display. The tunic has buttons and loops for slip-on shoulder boards, the tunic comes with an original pair of shoulder-boards, the shoulder-boards are having the red 'Truppenfarbe' and are having the standard NCO's braid and one pip attached as intended for a 'Feldwebel der Artillerie'. The field blouse is complete with a machine embroidered flat-wire woven breast eagle which is nicely machine-sewn to the tunic. A pair of standard EM type collar tabs, piped in red for Artillery personnel, is machine-sewn to the collar. NCO Braid is nicely machine-sewn around the collar of the tunic. An Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon is originally hand-sewn through one of the button-holes. A ribbon-bar for the Ostmedal is attached above the wearer's left breast-pocket. A weapons maintenance personnel's Trade Badge (Waffenmeister Tätigkeitsabzeichen) is nicely machine-sewn to the wearer's right lower sleeve. And a nice original Krim Campaign Shield is hand-sewn to the wearer's left upper sleeve. All insignia are original attached to the tunic. The interior of the tunic is unlined. The closure seam is marked with black ink size stamps and the field blouse is dated 1942. There are some other black and white markings on the various panels. The field blouse is in overall very good, only slightly worn, condition. This tunic was found in a housecleaning in Germany and is in untouched condition. The tunic was found together with a 1947 dated Prisoner of War ID-card (Kriegsgefangenen Ausweis), named to 'August David', most likely he kept this tunic at home and this way it survived the war in this condition.
