WH (Heer) Forestry Official's Visor Cap
WH (Heer) Forestry Official's Visor Cap (Reichsforstdienst Schirmmütze). In July of 1933, 'Hermann Göring' was appointed as 'Reichsforst und Reichsjägermeister' (National-forestry and Hunting-master) as head of the 'Reichsforstamt' (National-forestry-department). This is a Visor Cap for a Forestry Official or 'Förster'. This is a nice privately purchased visor cap. Complete with celluloid manufacturers sweat-diamond ('Raute'), this visor cap was produced by the famous 'Schellenberg' company and the sweat-diamond is marked by the company of 'W. Michovius' from Cottbus who was the re-seller of these caps. There is one small crack in the celluloid. The cap has no visible size markings, the size is approximately 54/55cms. The Visor cap is piped in the green 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Forestry personnel. The leather sweatband is in good condition, the cap is a 'Stirndruckfrei' example. The cap is complete with it's nearly hand-embroiderd Forestry type cap-cocarde and zinc-type cap-eagle. The cap is showing some minimal traces of years of storage, the cap is otherwise in unissued condition, the cap has a great shape. Stunning original Forestry visor cap!
