WH (Heer) M36 Style Infantry M43 Field Blouse
Wehrmacht (Heer) M36 style Infantry Obergefreiter's M43 Field Blouse (Feldbluse M43). The development of the M43 field blouse can be traced back to April 1933 with the introduction of the first pattern field blouses. Modifications of the M33 field blouse had evolved into the M36 Field Blouse and in 1940 into the M40 Field Blouse which was followed by the M41, M42 and M43 Field Blouses with minor variations. This is an EM's issue tunic which has been tailored to look like an M36 style field blouse by adding a dark-green M36-style wool collar. The high quality wool/rayon blend construction field blouse has 6 front closure buttons and the recognizable four, non-pleated, front pockets. The field blouse is having a hand applied M36 style flat-wire woven breast-eagle. The collar is having machine-sewn infantry collar-tabs. Shoulder-board loops and buttons are present and the tunic comes with a nice matching pair of white piped Infantry shoulder-straps intended. An Obergefreiter's rank chevron is sewn to the left arm. The interior of the field blouse is partially lined in grey rayon, there is a small bandage pocket on the lower right. The field blouse has been slightly shortened. The field blouse is nicely size marked (chest size 90cms) being a small size and dated 1944 (H44). The tunic is only showing minimal traces of usage, see photos. Nice original field blouse!
