NS-Soldatenbund Panzer Visor Cap
National Socialist Soldiers League (NS-Soldatenbund) Visor Cap (Schirmmütze für Veteranen). The Soldatenbund was only founded in 1936 and was a short-lived organization; it was already incorporated into the NS-Reichskriegerbund in 1938. The DRKB 'Deutscher Reichskriegerbund' (Kyffhäuserbund) was formed during WWI, and was based on the DKB 'Deutscher Kriegerbund', originally formed after the war of 1870-71. On 29 March 1938 the DRKB was renamed into NS-RKB 'Nationalsozialistische-Reichskriegerbund'. The cap is complete with its original early pattern nickel-silver cap-eagle and cocarde. The cap is having pink-coloured piping indicating that the cap belonged to a former Panzer soldier, there were only a few WW1 Panzer veterans, approximately 800. The cap is having a blackened patent leather chinstrap. The cap is lined with tan-coloured rayon and is showing the 'NS-Soldatenbund' logo printed in gold on the damaged sweat-diamond, the cap is not visible size marked. The sweatband is in very good condition, showing a nice imprinted "Deutches Leder" logo. NS-Soldatenbund visor caps are extremely hard to find, due to the short period the organisation existed. Nice original visor cap in very good condition!
