This is a nice sharp portrait photograph of a Luftwaffe Hauptmann (Captain). Nice quality portrait showing a Luftwaffe captain wearing his four-pocket tunic (Waffenrock). A Kreta Cufftitle and a Krim Campaign Shield (Krimschild) are visible at his left-arm. And a Luftwaffe Pilot's Badge (Flugzeugführerabzeichen), an Iron Cross 1st Class (Eisernes Kreuz 1e Klasse), a Transport and Glider Squadron Clasp (Frontflugspange für Transport- und Luftlandeflieger) and a 4-piece ribbon bar (Bandspange) are visible on his left-breast. The ribbon bar is showing respectively the Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse), the Wehrmacht 4 Years Long Service Award (Wehrmacht-Dienstauszeichnung), the 1 October 1938 Medal (Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1 Oktober 1938) and the Romanian Medal (Medaille zur Erinnerung an den Kreuzzug gegen den Kommunismus). The ribbon for the Romanian Order of Aeronautical Virtue is sewn through one of the buttonholes of his tunic. On his right chest, however hardly visible, there's the Romanian Pilot's Badge.
