'Freikorps Sudetenland' Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß). The 'Sudetendeutsches Freikorps' (Sudeten German Free Corps, also known as the Freikorps Sudetenland) was a paramilitary nationalist organization founded by 'Konrad Henlein' composed of Czechoslovak ethnic Germans, with pro-Nazi sympathies who operated in Czechoslovakia from 1938 to 1939. They played a part in Hitler's successful effort to occupy Czechoslovakia and annex the region known as Sudetenland into the Third Reich. A dye stamped, nickel alloy box buckle, the buckle is showing the runic letters of 'F.S.' (Freikorps Sudetenland or Freiwilliger Schutzdienst) on a hammered background. The buckle is not visible maker marked or dated. Rare original buckle in good condition!
