'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (Infantry Assault Badge). The Infantry Assault Badge in silver was introduced on 20 December 1939 by Generaloberst 'Walther von Brauchitsch', for award to all ranks of non-motorized, Infantry and Mountain Infantry units who participated in three different assaults on three different days. The badge is executed in 'Feinzink', it still retains a fair amont of its original silver finish. The pin and catch are complete and functional. The badge is nicely maker marked with 'L/51' indicating production by the company of 'E.F. Wiedmann' from Frankfurt am Main. The badge comes in it's rare and hard to find original matching paper pouch of issue (Verleihungstüte). The pouch is in slightly damaged condition. Nice original set in good condition!
