Late War Wehrmacht Mess Kit M42 - Kochgeschirr 42 (Eis.). The 'Kochgeschirr 31' was introduced on 23 March 1931, the M42 Mess kit was a simplified version, completely made of steel, introduced in 1942. This is a nice original late war enamelled steel construction mess kit. The mess kit is not visible maker marked or dated. The mess kit still retains most of its original dark black/grey enamel with some normal damages caused by usage, see photos. The mess kit is in uncleaned and slightly rusted condition as found. Rare original example in good used condition!
