Wehrmacht 'Affe' Backpack M1939 with fur flap (Tornister 39). This backpack was introduced by an order 'HM 39, No 328', dated 18 April 1939. The cowhide was to protect against rain. The pack was worn hooked onto the belt supporting straps (Y-straps) which were introduced with the M1939 pack. Two D-rings with hook are sewn in a diagonal position near the rear upper edge of the pack. The backpack is nicely maker marked and dated 1941. It comes with a part of the Y-straps inside the backpack, as found together. The Affe is showing normal traces of usage, see photos. Nice example in good used condition!
