War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords (Kriegsverdienst Kreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwerter). The War Merit Cross was instituted by Adolf Hitler on 18 October 1939. The tombak cross is not visible maker marked. The cross comes on its original confectioned 'Austrian-styled' ribbon as found, WW1 style swords are mounted to the ribbon. Really nice and interesting original example in good condition!
