Luftwaffe Winter Flight Coveralls (Flieger-kombi für Winter). The winter flight suit is a one-piece flying suit manufactured in a heavy brushed grey velveteen fabric with a blue fleece lay down collar. Fitted with a long diagonal zip fastener from waist to shoulder and with zips at the sleeve and leg ends. It also features zipped leg pockets and side entry slits along with concealed elasticated inner cuffs. This is the second pattern and has the later ring-pull emergency release cord that was introduced so that the wearer could remove the suit quickly without the need to undo any zips, the cord is missing but can easily be replaced by a simple length of any type of old cord. The coveralls are nicely maker marked by the company 'Mohr & Speyer A.G.' from Berlin and dated September 1939. The original factory paper label is still sewn to one of the sleeves. The coveralls are in unissued condition, there is however some damage to the lining material probably caused by storage. All zippers appear to be functional. Nice and heavy original winter flight suit in good condition!
