Rare 'TeNo' Police Field Blouse
German Police Combat Field Blouse (Polizei Feldbluse M42). As a part of Himmler’s ‘formal’ (i.e. Uniform Wearing) incorporation of the TeNo into the Polizei / SS umbrella from 1 June 1943 TeNo members, serving outside of the Reich, wore the green uniform of the Police and were referred to as the TeNo-Police. In addition to working within Germany, the TeNo was active in Nazi-occupied countries from September 1, 1939 as Einsatzgruppen, which followed the Wehrmacht and restored vital services and functions in Poland, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Norway. The police blue/green woolen tunic is having four pockets with field-grey finished, pebbled metal, buttons. There is a six-button front closure using the same type of buttons. There is a lay flat collar with a metal hook and loop neck closure. Shoulder-board loops and buttons are unfortunately missing. All insignia have been removed. The interior is made of grey coloured rayon lining material, it is nicely marked with a large size 'TeNo' logo and size '53' marked. The field blouse is in very good, only slightly used condition, showing only minimal traces of years of storage, see photos. Only a handful of these green TeNo tunics are known to exist worldwide. This would make a great restoration project for a very rare tunic when completed with correct insignia!
The period black&white photo showing a member wearing a police green TeNo tunic is shown as reference and not part of the sale.
