Reichsbahn Tunic and Visor Cap
Early 'Deutsche Reichsbahn' Personnel's Service Tunic and Visor Cap (DRB Dienstrock und Schirmmütze). 'Deutsche Reichsbahn' was the name of the German national railway, from 1937 it was organized as the DRB. This is an early 1st model visor cap as worn from 1935 to 1941. This is a nice official issued visor cap, complete with celluloid manufacturers sweat-diamond ('Raute'), maker marked by 'Carl Isken, Uniform-Mützen-Fabrik' from Köln and marked with 'Reichsbahn Kleiderkasse'. The cap is approximately a size '56', the artificial leather sweatband is in good used condition. The cap is complete with its original cap-eagle and cocarde and comes with its original black patent leather chinstrap. The dark blue woolen service tunic features a six button front closure with dual hooks at the collar. Tunic has two breast pockets and two slightly diagonally angled hip pockets, the breast pocket buttons are missing. The tunic is complete with original machine-sewn collar tabs and a pair of sew-in type shoulder-boards. The tunic is in overall good condition with some minor (moth)damages, see photos. Overall a nice looking Reichsbahn service tunic and visor cap which will make a great display!
