WH (Heer) DAK M43 Tropical Tunic
WH (Heer) DAK M43 Tropical Tunic (Tropenfeldbluse M43). In late 1940, with the impending German entrance into the North African campaign, tropical uniforms and equipment were quickly developed and issued in time for DAK personnel's arrival in Tripoli in February 1941. Originally the tropical uniforms were only intended for wear in North Africa but that was later expanded to include personnel serving in southern areas of continental Europe during the summer months. The light weight khaki/olive cotton construction field blouse is complete with an original applied BeVo woven tropical breast-eagle and a set of original machine-sewn BeVo-woven tropical collar tabs. The field blouse is nicely size marked (chestsize 92cms) and dated 1944 (WB44), the field blouse is also RB.Nr. marked. There is some staining caused by storage, see photos. Nice original late war tropical field blouse in very good, near mint, condition!
