WH (Heer) Officer's M36 Field Blouse
Wehrmacht (Heer) Infantry Officer's M36 Field Blouse (Feldbluse M36). The development of the M36 field blouse can be traced back to April 1933 with the introduction of the first pattern field blouses. Modifications of the M33 field blouse had evolved into the M36 Field Blouse. This is an EM's issue tunic which has been upgraded to and Officer's rank. The high quality wool/rayon blend construction field blouse has 5 front closure buttons and the recognizable four, pleated, front pockets. The field blouse is having a nicely hand-embroidered breast-eagle hand-sewn in place. The collar is having a pair of nicely hand-embroidered collar-tabs machine-sewn to the collar. The collar-tabs are having the white branch colour. Shoulder-board loops and buttons are present and the tunic is complete with a pair of slip-on shoulder-straps as intended for a 'Hauptmann der Infanterie'. All insignia look to be period applied. There are award-loops on the left breast for wear of one awards. The interior of the field blouse is partially lined in ribbed, grey/tan cotton, there is a small bandage pocket on the lower right. The field blouse is nicely size marked (chest size 96cms) which is a medium size. The tunic is maker marked and dated 1940 (B40). There is some minor moth damage and the tunic is showing clear traces of usage, see photos. Overall the tunic is in very good condition, see photos. Stunning untouched original tunic!
