WH (Heer) Infantry EM/NCO's Visor Cap
WH (Heer) Infantry EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is a nice army issue EM/NCO's example. The celluloid manufacturers sweat-diamond ('Raute') is present and marked with the size '58'. The brown leather sweatband is in good used condition, see photos. The cap is maker marked and dated 1936 on the inside of the leather sweatband. The cap is also unit marked with '8./J.R.116' (Infanterie-Regiment 116). The Visor cap is piped in the white 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Infantry personnel. The cap is complete with its original early tombak cap-eagle and cocarde. The cap is having a blackened patent leather chinstrap. The cap is in good condition showing some minor traces of usage and some small moth damages, see photos.
