German MG42 'Lafette' 1943 (Lafette für MG42). The MG42 tripod or lafette is nicely maker marked and dated '43 btm' indicating production by 'Hülsbeck & Fürst' from Velbert in 1943. The lafette has probably been reissued in the post-war Norwegian or Austrian army and it showing a brown/tan coloured overpaint, a lot of the original paint however is still visible and some parts have not been repainted at all. With some effort the repaint will easily come off and this would be a great restauration project to bring this Lafette back to its former glory. The fully functional Lafette is in overall very good complete condition, see photos. These are getting almost impossible to find and this would be a great addition to any collection. Rare original lafette in very good condition!
