World War 1 Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). Re-instituted by King Wilhelm II on 5 August 1914 for award during WWI. The second class medal was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction and has a magnetic core. The cross is nicely marked in the ring with the silver content mark '800'. The cross comes with its original 14cms long sized ribbon. Rarely seen original silver content marked WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class!
