World War 2 US Airborne Paratrooper American Flag Invasion Armband. These armbands were typically used by U.S. Paratroopers on the D-Day invasion in Normandy in June 1944 and during Operation Market Garden in September 1944. The armband was fixed to the uniform with safety pins. One original safety pin is still present. Written on the armband is 'Southern Franc, St. Tropez, 14 August 44'. Rare original armband in good used and worn condition!
