Complete set of 3 Wehrmacht Signalman's Backpacks (Fernsprechtornister). Based on the M39 'Tornister', but larger and with dual closure flaps. The backpack would contain the necessary equipment for the Signalman, such as cable reels and various tools for use with Radios. There were three versions of the backpack '1,2,3' with each having different contents. This is a complete set of all three versions. Backpacks number 1 and 2 are both in very good condition and nicely maker marked and dated 'ftt40' and 'ftt41', both backpacks are missing their inner-frame. Backpack number 3 is nicely maker marked and dated 'bdt44' indicating production in 1944. This backpack is complete with its original inner-frame. All three backpacks are complete with leather carrying straps, the straps are showing various markings. Extremely rare and hard to find complete set of Signalman's Backpacks in very good condition!
